Azubuike African American Council for the Arts  Is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit; as a small African American nonprofit, we struggle to find sustainable financial resources for our expenses and overhead. By August, 90% of our annual grants have been awarded. Therefore fundraising efforts are essential for helping us get through the remainder of the year. Because of Covid-19, our Spring fundraising efforts were negatively impacted. Since the panic is not going anywhere soon, without additional assistance, Azubuike will struggle for the next four months to get by. With your donation, you can help Azubuike fill this gap! Please give whatever you can; no amount is too small and, all donations are much appreciated!  Thank you in advance for your help!

Azubuike’s Mission: Our Mission is to reconcile the racial divides that exist in our community by giving at-risk youth a voice to express themselves, be heard without bias, and spark a much larger conversation about race relations in the Quad Cities through the Arts.

Our Vision: Azubuike’s Vision is to use the Arts to help us understand our past, show us how to shape our future while telling a compelling story about why our lives matter.

The foundation of this growing program: Azubuike runs programs that foster cultural understanding, embrace diversity and promote a greater knowledge of the histories of underrepresented populations in the Quad Cities metropolitan area, Many residents of the Quad Cities struggle with systemic issues of poverty, racism, and underrepresentation within the larger population. It is our belief that the opportunity to establish a space that celebrates important artists and art forms, will inspire members of our community to reach out and expand their understanding of one another and contribute to a more inclusive society.
