Urban Exposure
Independent Film project
We at Urban Exposure, see filmmaking as more than merely having access to film equipment and technology. The Urban Exposure Summer Film Program allows our young filmmaker to reach a part of their community that is often underrepresented and rarely given a chance to participate in public dialogue.
At the end of each program year, the films are put on Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, and added to our website. These links are made available to teachers, community leaders, youth groups, churches and the community as a whole.
Our Cinematic Vision
Azubuike’s cinematic vision is to chronicle the past and contemporary social aspects of the human experience in our community, enable engagement by young people and create a lasting and measurable impact.
Urban Exposure
Summer Film Program
Urban Exposure is a 10-week film program that provides youth the opportunity for self-expression through cinematic storytelling and the chance to explore the filmmaking industry as a possible career.
The program allows young people who participate to creatively address through cinema the challenges they experience in their daily lives. Program participants work collaboratively with each other and local filmmakers to realize their creative visions and produce their films by the end of the program. The films are screened for the community at the Figge Art Museum.
Our hours of operation are Wednesday- Saturday 11-5:00 and Monday & Tuesday by appointment only! We Are Closed Sundays & All Major Holidays!
